News flash from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
Finally. It's about time the state weighed in on the issue of fish pedicures.
I didn't even know fish had toenails.

finals week(end), feeling good
I have classes until Wednesday this week, then it's Thursday and Friday reading days. Which, despite my loathing them, I LOVE! Why, you may ask?
1. Silent dance party at the libe - we get emailed a playlist, put it on our iPod or a CD and we all press play at 11 PM on 4th Libe, we then proceed to dance all over the place for an hour. There's a short break for tag on the bald spot. Plus, the playlist is always great. I listen to last term's when I work out. And of course, Like A Prayer is on it! And somehow, it always works out with midnight and being on first libe (which is designated "Monastery Quiet" teeehee :) )
2. Late Night Breakfast - who doesn't love 4 meals in a day! The last one being breakfast after spending 11 hours at the libe. Anddd EVERYONE goes! It's great, you get to see everyone who has been in hiding/seclusion because of all the work. WOnderfullll. Even though it's at the LDC (the dining hall way far away from me) it's kind of nice to break from the spend all day at the libe, go to burton (dining hall that is 5 steps away from Musser... i definitely rock my slippers there) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, go back to the libe afterward phenom.
3. Staking out the libe - okay, so studying non-stop for two entire days isn't cool, but when you go with a group of friends super early (so that way you actually get a spot) and get tables in a row, it's great. You just leave your stuff there when you go to meals and you come back and still have a spot wa-la. And you can make faces at the people sitting around you. Or try to roll them messages in nalgene bottles. Or you know, whatever. Bring your iPod to avoid complete mental destruction. But yeah, that libe is going to be my home. Last term at least i kind of liked it... okay, it was great. Except for the studying.
4. Liking Work! - It's crazy, but last term during reading days, I loved going to work. Probably because of my horrible study-study-study lifestyle, I'd trick myself into believing that a lesser-torture was actually fun! Either way, it's social... and after hours of book loving, that's all i can ask for... more on that in #5.
5. Forfeiting person to person interactions (/losing my mind) - okay, it's silly, but reading days and finals are like a really disorienting but fun and terrible roller coaster ride. it just really messes you up. being conditioned to whispering in the libe, i'll either overcompensate when i talk to people or i'll still speak in hushed tones. when i get called out on it... i just switch to the opposite pole. it's super fun, i love it when people think i'm a cray cray (that means crazy). i lose all social skills. i get overstimulated when interacting with people. once i finally realize i'm no longer in the libe, i begin many many conversations with myself, strangers, inanimate objects, squirrels. once again, trying to compensate for the double digit hours i spent not speaking, not even thinking about speaking. generally speaking, i go insane. good thing it's a school wide thing.
6. Self scheduled exams - i don't even need to set my alarm clock! all of my exams this term are self schedule. i could be done on the first finals day if i wanted to... just take all three then. if i decide to do nothing on thursday and friday i could pretend saturday and sunday are my reading days and take them all on monday. i'm in charge! it's like it's spring break already.
uhm, there's actually more! ...maybe. and maybe, if i'm putting off writing another paper (don't worry, it's due tuesday/it's already written i just needa edit the crap out of it) i'll put some of them up here for you all to read. not that you guys need more evidence signalling just how neurotic i am. loves you all!

Happy Birthday, Matt!
So what the heck are we doing on this special day? I'm working from 12-6, but after that will there be a celebration? I'm sure there will be! I'll try to come by the house as soon as I can.
