Six feet of water in the basement is no joke. I didn't really believe it until I saw these pictures. But it happened while we were up on Beaver Island. Old School and Paul took care of bringing up a lot of the stuff that was in the basement. As of today we're almost back to normal operations: Water heater should be fixed on Tuesday.
The west side of the house.
Our backyard
The North School park. Tina, Tom, Mom, and I went on those swings when they came over to see the house.
Looking out the front door. Rand Road is completely submerged.
Incredible.

Epic. I always wanted to see a flood it seemed so cool. Six feet is unbelievable. Its hard to picture! Dan, fight on, never give up, Never surrender! There will be a day to push back the unholy oppression of the dark plague waters. Stay vigilant.
Wow. Did your housemates have to evacuate, or wade in and out?
No they didn't evacuate. For the most part they were stranded, couldn't go anywhere, couldn't go to work. They had a few visitors come over to bring food rations etc. When we got back from the island they were so excited, it was like they had a more fun and interesting time than we did!
