Last weekend I went on a field trip to East St. Louis to look at computer lab set-ups, make connections in the community for some of our groups' final projects, and refurbish computers. Each day down there (Fri-Sat) the temperatures were in the mid to upper 90s, but it was an enriching experience to see how UIUC is involved in bringing ICT (information communication technologies) to these communities. I have some pictures that were taken. As you can see it wasn't all computers and stuff - I had a chance to fill in the role of grillmaster.
